To celebrate International Women’s Day 2018, Caboodle Magazine are holding an informal gathering of lovely ladies. There will be creative networking, a zine-making workshop with Jade Blood, an art exhibition by the ladies of Pica Studios, edible installation by Shutishuti Patisserie, cocktails and mocktails.
It is a free event but there will be exclusive goodie bags and crafty fun available for a small donation, with all proceeds going towards the York women’s charity Kyra.
Caboodle magazine editor Kayti Peschke tells us a bit more about the event…
"Caboodle is passionate about featuring the work of talented female makers and creatives so I wanted to celebrate International Women’s Day by getting a load of us together in York to hang out and do something crafty. It feels like a really exciting time for makers in York right now so I’m excited about chatting with everyone, getting creative gals together and hopefully we can all make some new friends too!
Pica Studios is a really exciting space, you can’t help but be inspired in there so it’s the perfect place for a creative social, I’m so excited to see the art exhibition, all the ladies are doing portraits of each other! The edible installation by Shutishuti Patisserie is going to be very exciting too, I hear there is going to be a LOT of meringue!
Making zines is a great way to express yourself and test out new ideas so I can’t wait to see what everyone makes in the workshop… literally anything goes!"
Join in for an evening of fun and inspiration with some wonderful creative women.
