Good for the Soul: York Soup

11th November 2016

Help new local community projects get off the ground with York Soup. The concept is simple: a (£10) ticket entitles you to a delicious meal of homemade soup and bread, and a vote for your favourite local community project pitched on the night.

Four ideas for improving York or the local community will be put forward, with the one receiving the most votes taking home all the ticket money. The people behind the project will then be asked to update us on their progress as they bring their idea to life.

York Soup is set to take place from 6:00pm on 6 December at The Spurriergate Centre.

Doors at 6:00pm Proposals at 6:30pm Dinner 7:00pm Winner announced 8:00pm

Pitches TBC: previous York Soup projects have included The Island: charity that pairs children who are having troubles with a mentor, with other Soup pitches including the Acomb Community Garden and Royal Voluntary Service: there are always a lot of great projects on the table.

To be considered for a York SOUP pitch slot, please contact [email protected] The only criteria at this stage is the idea or project benefits York and the deadline for applications to pitch is Wednesday 23 November.

Tickets now available by clicking below. As all ticket proceeds are going towards the projects we are unable to issue refunds, however tickets are transferable.
