York Maze Hallowscream 2016 trailer: Directed by Miles Watts. Produced by Vicky Parry. Director of Photography: Jamie McKeller. Sound & Music: Dave S. Walker.
It’s that time of year again, and One&Other were delighted to film a series of Grindhouse-style horror promos for York Maze Hallowscream, which launches on 14 October.
The event, which takes place annually out at York Maze on Elvington Lane, York and is set on ‘the burial ground of a Victorian travelling circus,’ promises this year to be the biggest and most exciting Hallowscream with five exciting attractions: including a new one called The Flesh Pot: A human slaughterhouse.
It’s all in the name of a scary fun night out though, and farmer/maze owner Tom Pearcy has curated the event more in the style of a horror theme park this year, with the attractions all based in one concentrated area of the farm, with other draws (beside the scares and fun) being the tantalising selection of food and drink on offer, plus the chance to dance the night away to Thriller at The Stumble Inn, Hallowscream’s own zombie-themed bar.
As the trailer above details, there are five main attractions to thrill and scare audiences: as well as The Flesh Pot there’s Barnageddon: a mad funhouse; Reincornation: the mad revenge of a killer clown; a trip back to Victorian York in 1873 and a nightmare journey into paranoid fun with The Difference Engine.
Watch out for One&Other’s five short films exploring each attraction over the next two weeks, plus - launching on opening night 14 October - a ‘feature length’ movie following our two heroes Brad and Betsy as they navigate the horrors of Hallowscream, including a bar filled with slavering zombies…
Tickets for the event must be pre-booked below. You can also find out how to get there by car and public transport, plus other details. Hallowscream runs on selected evenings from 14-31st October. Dare you enter?BUY TICKETS NOW
