Sharon McDonah's depiction of a derelict Piccadilly is one of the artists exhibiting.

On Sundays 21 July and 4 August Spark York and the York River Art Market are having a collaborative pop up art market.

The markets will host over twenty curated artists at each of the 2 pop up style events .

York River Art Market is an established and award winning art market which has grown from strength to strength over the last 4 years .Spark York is thriving hub of creativity which supports small business’s to thrive as well as offering the public something unique and cultural.

Charlotte who is organising the event says "I am really happy to be making this collaboration with Spark who have offered the city something that other local towns and even some big cities do not have, this is a unique space which creates and ambient and fresh backdrop for any event . This is an ideal spot for 2 x Sunday art markets to be held .I hope York residents will come and show their support of 2 x indie projects collaborating like this as well as supporting local artists "

Events run from approx 10-6pm and are on the ground floor of Spark York .

On board for the events are a range of quality makers and artists selling original works for a range of budgets.

Some exciting artists include - SHARON MCDONAGH ARTIST (work pictured above) With us Aug 4 Sharon McDonagh is a Freelance Artist and Illustrator from York, UK. Formerly a high profile Police Forensic Artist. Her current project entitled ‘Transition’ takes inspiration from her fascination with derelict buildings, highlighting beauty in their ultimate decay. ‘Transition 01’ features buildings on Piccadilly, York which are all due for redevelopment/demolition including the iconic ‘Banana Warehouse’ building.

ANYA CLAYTON - With us 21 July Northumbria Fashion design & Marketing Graduate experimenting with hand screen-printed textiles, laser cut jewellery, digital prints & lacy imitate garments.
