City Screen is showing a singalong version of The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine [U] on Thu 2 August at 8:30pm. The fantasy film was first released in 1968 and is regarded as a landmark in animation, with Heinz Edelmann’s inspired art direction conjuring up a non-stop parade of wildly different styles and techniques. It’s a colourful musical spectacle and an exhilarating joyful cinematic experience for all ages - filled with visual invention, optical illusions, word play, and glorious, glorious music. On Thursday 2nd August, you can sing-along with as this groundbreaking animation returns to City Screen.
